The studio is independently owned and operated by Claudine Orlian and Aleksandra Koldowska, who also own the Amazing Lash Studio in Merrick, a studio that broke the record for highest gross sales just last month in the Amazing Lash Studio system of over 200 studios in the U.S.
In fact, the Merrick studio was recognized as the highest performing studio in several categories at the Amazing Lash Studio annual conference in September, including the Million Dollar Club, recognizing studios with $1 million or more in annual sales, and the Fast Flyer Award, a new award that was created specifically to recognize the Merrick studio for record-breaking second year sales.
Orlian shares that the Merrick studio has consistently been at full capacity, so she and Koldowska knew they had to open a second location.
“Lashes are a lifestyle on the South Shore. Getting your lashes done has now become a mainstream part of the beauty routine, just like getting your nails done,” said Orlian. “We definitely have lash fever, and with Merrick at capacity, we knew we needed a second location nearby to handle the growing demand.”
The Massapequa studio is located 10 miles east of the Merrick studio, where clients can expect the same great service they’ve come to love, with more suites and availability.
Even with her successful track record, being an entrepreneur wasn’t always in the cards for Orlian. Like many who find themselves at a crossroads of staying at their 9-to-5 job or starting their own business, Orlian found herself needing a major change. She was a single mother driving nearly 200 miles round-trip to work every day, and was desperately trying to figure out a way to comfortably support her daughter without sacrificing so much precious time away from her.
Koldowska and Orlian both had extensive backgrounds in the retail beauty space, and knew their skills complemented each other well. With Aleksandra’s proven track record in operations and impeccable customer service, and Claudine’s skills with marketing, it became a perfect recipe for success.
“When Aleksandra and I decided to join forces and go into business together, it was a total leap of faith,” said Orlian. “It’s been an amazing journey, going from a struggling single mom to owning multiple successful businesses. Now I can do what I love, be there for my daughter, and easily support our lifestyle. It just goes to show that with the right opportunity, you can go from having nothing, to recreating your entire life and making your dreams a reality.”
The ladies share that their love for Amazing Lash comes from a passion for empowering women.
